READ PREVIOUS UPDATE : Saras And Kumud On Starlife Tuesday 10th June 2025 Written Episode Update: Suspicious men follow Kumud
The episode opens with Kumud in danger, surrounded by goons—until a transgender woman bravely steps in to rescue her. The goons flee, and Kumud, overwhelmed, thanks her savior. The woman notices the ghungroos Kumud is holding and asks if they belong to her, noting that she looks like someone from a respectable family. Kumud explains they aren’t hers—she’s trying to find out who they belonged to. The woman offers to help, asking Kumud to trust her.
She brings Kumud to a bustling market and asks around about the ghungroos. A shopkeeper identifies them as being very old. Kumud presses for more details—where could such ghungroos have been made? The man replies: Sundarnagar. When Kumud asks for the specific shop, he admits he doesn’t remember, but says it’s at least 20 to 22 years old. Meanwhile, the goons who had chased Kumud earlier continue watching her from a distance.
The shopkeeper then recalls an old dancer named Roopmati, who was once famous but tragically committed suicide. Kumud thanks him for the information. Her guide, the transgender woman, warns her that Sundarnagar has changed over the years, and it might be hard to find more answers. But there’s one place that hasn’t changed—the old photography studio. She suggests they start there. Kumud agrees.
At the studio, Kumud inquires about someone named Ghuman who might’ve been there two decades ago. The current shopkeeper says his father ran the studio at the time. Kumud’s eyes widen as she spots a photograph—it’s Ghuman, dressed as a dancer. But when she points it out, the man corrects her: “That’s Roopmati, not Ghuman.” He says she was a celebrated performer of her time. He offers to take Kumud to their older studio, where Roopmati may have lived. Kumud smiles faintly, now convinced that Ghuman is hiding her past under the name Roopmati, and the truth lies buried in Chandni Bazaar.
Grateful, Kumud thanks her helper and asks why she came to help a stranger. The woman simply says, “Why did you come here alone? Weren’t you afraid?” Kumud nods softly and replies, “I was… but my fear was smaller than the pain my loved ones have suffered.” The woman blesses Kumud, saying her husband must be very lucky. Kumud says she’ll call him. But when she tries to reach Saras, the call doesn’t go through. She then tells the woman that she sees her as a form of Maa Ambe. The woman blesses her again but refuses to come along, urging Kumud to stay strong. They part with warm smiles.
Nearby, a mysterious man watches Kumud and mutters that if she’s here for Ghuman, he’ll make sure to keep an eye on her.
Elsewhere, Saras is restless. He keeps trying Kumud’s phone and regrets their earlier fight. “She was trying to bring my family together… and I was angry at her.” Just then, Vidyachatur calls, asking if Kumud is home. Saras says no, she hasn’t returned and hasn’t called either. Vidyachatur says they were planning to visit, and Saras agrees.
Guniyal tells Vidyachatur that any other man would have started taunting them by now, but Saras is silent because he genuinely loves Kumud.
Back in Chandni Bazaar, Kumud continues her search for Roopmati. She asks around and meets a woman who says she doesn’t know Roopmati—but she does know Ghuman. “She just came inside,” the woman says, inviting Kumud in. Kumud freezes in shock.
Meanwhile, at home, Saras grows more anxious. Kusum reassures him, saying Kumud will be back soon. The doorbell rings, and Kusum rushes to check—only to find Danny. He enters and shuts the door. Kusum explains that Kumud went to a friend’s mehendi but hasn’t returned and didn’t even come for the aarti.
The bell rings again. This time it’s Vidyachatur and Guniyal. Danny asks where their mother is, but Kusum says they haven’t heard from her. Guniyal tries calling Kumud again.
Inside the strange house, Kumud grows tense as she hears the sound of anklets. She looks up and braces herself—Ghuman is approaching. Guniyal’s call rings again, but Kumud cuts it. The woman urges her to answer, but Kumud is focused. Then, stepping into the light, a girl claims, “I’m Ghuman.” Kumud stares in disbelief. “No… you’re someone else. I saw a different Ghuman.” Realizing something is wrong, she leaves hurriedly.
The man who had been watching her is still nearby, tracking her movements. Kumud, aware that it’s getting late, says she should call Saras. But just as she dials him, the same man stops her. He says, “You’re very close to the person you’re looking for.” When Kumud looks shocked, he adds, “Yes, you’re looking for Ghuman. Come with me.” He admits it’s hard to trust a stranger but insists she has no other choice. “Either come with me… or return home empty-handed.”
At home, Guniyal suggests starting the aarti. Vidyachatur invites Saras to lead it, but Saras is distracted, still trying Kumud’s phone. He mutters, “Why isn’t she answering? Who was that man she was talking to?” Just then, Ghuman enters with a graceful smile. She greets everyone and innocently asks, “Where’s Kumud? Doing aarti without her?” Pretending to be unbothered, she adds, “She brought the idol but vanished for the aarti. No matter. We’ll begin with or without her.” Kusum ends up doing the aarti instead, while Saras looks on, visibly troubled.
