Saras And Kumud On Starlife Wednesday 23rd July 2025 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with Kabir encouraging Saras to sing a song and cheer Kumud up. Though hesitant at first, Saras thinks Kumud might get upset, Kabir insists and even offers to teach him. Saras gathers courage and approaches Kumud, who tries to avoid him. He starts singing a playful Mumbai-style song, “Tujhe Aksa Beach Ghuma Du, Aa Chalti Kya,” hoping to lighten her mood. Kumud can’t help but react, hitting him with a pillow before walking away. Undeterred, Saras follows her, apologizing and admitting that he should have discussed things with her before making plans. Kumud says she’s already forgiven him, but Saras takes that as a sign she’s ready to come with him to Mumbai. She quickly corrects him, saying she never agreed to that. Saras reminds her how she went all the way to London risking her life, yet now she won’t consider coming to Mumbai. Kumud firmly states she’s not leaving Ratnagiri.

Elsewhere, Guniyal and Yash’s mother are busy showing potential bride photos to Kabir. Kusum joins in with her own suggestions, praising one particular girl. Kabir finds himself awkwardly seated between the three women, bombarded with opinions. Yash’s mother emphasizes they need an educated bride, while Kusum argues that the girl she chose is capable, just like Kumud. Kabir remains silent as the women passionately push their favorites. Danny notices his brother’s discomfort. Just then, Saras and Kumud arrive, asking what’s going on. Danny informs them that the women are matchmaking for Kabir. A lively debate breaks out as everyone starts justifying their choices. Saras jokes that Kabir shouldn’t marry yet, warning that once you tie the knot, your freedom ends. Kabir chuckles while Vidyachatur accuses Saras of projecting his own fears. Saras agrees and urges them to ask Kabir directly if he even wants to marry. Guniyal insists Kabir’s a good guy and will marry the right girl. Kusum points to her chosen girl as the best option. Kabir, overwhelmed, quietly walks away. Yash’s mother thinks he’s just shy. Laxminandan points out that Kabir didn’t say no, so he asks Saras and Kumud to help find him a bride. Saras jokes that he’s already “sunk,” so Kabir might as well join him. Danny reminds them that Saras and Kumud are moving to Mumbai soon. Kumud silently walks off.
Saras assures his father not to worry—they’ll find a suitable girl together. Vidyachatur laughs and tells him to first convince Kumud. Saras agrees and goes after her. He finds her in the kitchen and pretends to be making roti because he’s hungry. She asks why he didn’t tell her, and he says he needs to practice cooking since he’ll be living alone in Mumbai. Kumud sighs and offers to help, but Saras insists on doing it himself. Then he switches to making tea, dramatically messing it up with too much tea powder, sugar, and milk. Kumud watches amused as he declares it the best tea and wants to share it with everyone. But he burns his hand on the hot kadai, and Kumud quickly comes to his aid. He uses the moment to emotionally nudge her, saying he’s helpless without her and asks again if she’ll come with him. Kumud sarcastically says it’ll be fine—he can hire a maid in Mumbai, and he won’t need her. Saras, clearly hurt, asks her to listen to him.
The next morning, Saras continues his emotional drama. He brings up how someone mentioned he could just get a maid, echoing Kumud’s words. Kusum chimes in, saying that’s true, but what about getting groceries? Saras explains that in Mumbai, everything is delivered to your door. He then says he’ll have to live as a bachelor for six months, hoping to guilt Kumud further. She starts eating breakfast silently as Saras serves her, pretending to accept his lonely fate. The family looks on, hiding their smiles, clearly aware of his ploy. Kumud eventually walks away. Kabir joins the breakfast table, and Danny quickly assures him they won’t bring up marriage. Kusum, however, cheekily brings out a photo and asks Kabir to give his opinion on the girl. Kabir refuses to look. Vidyachatur gently asks if there’s someone else he likes. Laxminandan adds that they won’t be strict if he opens up. Kabir responds with a heavy heart, saying someone filled with hatred cannot love. Kusum suggests someone else might love him, but he insists no one waits for anyone. Danny concludes that Kabir has no one in his life, so it’s time they take charge. Guniyal says she’ll call the girl’s mother immediately. Saras gets up, saying he has something important to do, and leaves.
Later at night, Danny is working in his room. Kusum enters quietly and lovingly places a jug of water on the table. She playfully teases him from behind. Danny quickly catches on and jokes that there’s a mosquito troubling him just like Kusum. He wonders aloud how to deal with both. Kusum protests, and as they playfully argue, Danny grabs her hand. They fall on the bed, and the moment turns romantic. He caresses her face and leans in for a kiss, with soft music playing in the background.
Meanwhile, Saras walks into his room and finds Kumud pretending to be asleep on his side of the bed. He calls her out, saying he knows she’s awake and asks her to move since he’s tired. Kumud replies that she’s getting used to sleeping alone on the bed from now on. Saras offers to sleep on the couch, but she tells him to stay and that she’ll adjust. Annoyed, he lies down beside her. She smiles and starts teasing him again, talking about how he’ll struggle managing alone. Saras says she’ll be the one crying when he leaves. Kumud admits she’ll miss him—after all, he used to drop her to school. He says he’s sleepy, and she tells him to sleep, reminding him he has a lot to do the next day. She smiles quietly, her heart clearly still pulled toward him.
