Saras reaches home and uses the landline to call Kumud, but even that doesn’t work. Growing restless, he dials Pooja’s relatives instead. A woman answers and introduces herself as Pooja’s mother. Saras quickly explains he is calling from Mumbai and has urgent work. Her response leaves him stunned—she reveals that Pooja has been missing for two years.
The mother shares how Pooja once sent letters saying she wanted to live independently, that she had some modeling work, but then the letters stopped. Even her landlord had no idea where she went. She admits she complained to the police, but nothing came of it. Before ending the call, she pleads with Saras to inform her if he learns anything about her daughter. Saras agrees, though the heaviness in his voice shows his worry.
Meanwhile, at home, Vidyachatur anxiously notes that Danny still hasn’t returned with news of Kabir. Soon Danny arrives with Anushka and Kusum, disappointed that Kabir has not been found. Anushka looks disturbed. Badimaa takes her aside, gently urging her to reconsider her decision about Kabir. Guniyal too reminds her that if Kabir truly loves her, he deserves a chance. But Anushka stands firm.
She admits Kabir is a good man, but she cannot open her heart to anyone. She recalls how easily relationships fall apart and refuses to build something that might one day shatter. Badimaa tries to convince her, insisting that Kabir would be a caring husband who would never dishonor her trust. Vidyachatur and Guniyal also share their own journey of respect and love in marriage, but Anushka’s mind remains set. Kusum pushes her to decide, but Anushka counters by pointing out how Kusum once doubted Danny despite their love. “If such doubt can creep into your strong bond, how can I believe in love?” she says firmly before leaving, apologizing but making it clear she wishes to stay alone.
Saras, meanwhile, grows more suspicious. He ponders over Pooja’s disappearance and is certain Prashant has something to do with it. His eyes fall on a wall—Prashant had once refused to let a nail be hammered there, while Kumud had said there was a crack which is now perfectly fine. Suspicion turning into determination, Saras hits the wall with a vase. The hollow sound confirms his fear, and as he breaks it open, he is left shocked by what he sees hidden inside. Reaching for his phone, he realizes the battery is about to die.
Elsewhere, Badimaa continues speaking to Anushka about marriage and its true meaning when Yash walks in, surprising everyone with his return. He warmly greets them and joins the conversation, reminding Anushka that while his own marriage failed, that doesn’t mean love cannot succeed with the right partner. He insists that a girl would be lucky to have a husband like Kabir. Danny agrees, adding that Kusum’s jealousy once hurt him deeply, but he realized it was only because she loved him so much. Kusum and Danny bicker lightly, turning the serious conversation into a heated exchange. Badimaa grows frustrated and scolds them, pointing out that their constant quarrels will only reinforce Anushka’s decision to avoid marriage. Embarrassed, they apologize.
At the same time, Saras desperately calls Kumud. When she answers, he tells her he has discovered something in the wall and insists she stay where she is until he can pick her up. Kumud senses his panic and tries calling him back, but the line doesn’t connect. Deciding to head home, she takes an auto. Along the way, she spots Saras’s car and asks the driver to follow, worried about where he might be rushing off to. But she soon loses track of him.
Back home, Saras’s suspicions are confirmed when Prashant suddenly appears in front of his car, wearing a smug smile. Saras steps out and confronts him directly, asking if he knows Pooja, since she vanished two years ago and bore a striking resemblance to Kumud. Prashant coolly admits he does know. He taunts Saras for uncovering too much too quickly, warning that it will not end well for him.
Saras accuses him, threatening that the truth about Pooja will soon be revealed. But Prashant smirks, reminding him that his phone battery died and the landline is disconnected—there is no proof, no way to expose him. He declares that Pooja’s truth will remain buried forever. What matters now, he sneers, is that he has found Kumud’s weakness: Saras himself. He boasts about saving Saras’s life once and claims Kumud trusts him. His obsession spills out as he admits that he takes what he desires—by asking or by force—and now he intends to make Kumud his own.
Rage consumes Saras, and he attacks Prashant. The two men fight fiercely, Saras’s anger blazing in his eyes. He slams Prashant against a car, but Prashant only smiles before pulling out a gun. Saras freezes, stunned at the sight of the weapon pointed directly at him.
