Scrambling to keep her lies intact, Roshni’s eyes well up with tears. She pleads with everyone to believe that she truly doesn’t know where her father is. But Renuka isn’t swayed. Her patience gone, she delivers an ultimatum—bring your father here at any cost, or be ready to face serious consequences. The warning lands hard, leaving Roshni rattled. Elsewhere, Sayali hands her husband a glass of digestive drink, hoping to prevent any stomach trouble. As they chat, Sachin almost lets something slip—something he clearly didn’t intend to say—but he quickly backtracks. Sayali notices the flicker in his tone and presses him about the biryani, suspecting he bought it for his mother, who has been starving for two days. Sachin acts indifferent, as though Renuka means nothing to him. But inside, the thought of his mother suffering is unbearable. He just can’t bring himself to show it—not to a woman who has never once openly embraced him as her son.
The next morning, Roshni returns with the same man who once pretended to be her uncle. She announces with great drama that her father has suddenly arrived, without telling anyone. She even stages a little outburst, scolding her “uncle” for skipping an important family event despite receiving an invitation. Playing along, the man spins yet another tale about her father. Before he speaks further, he grows oddly cautious. He instructs everyone to shut every window and door, and to switch off their mobile phones—no recordings, no interruptions.
When Renuka pushes him to explain, the man suddenly breaks down in tears. Between sobs, he claims that Roshni’s father is in prison because of a business dispute. Someone, he says, tricked him and framed him, landing him behind bars. Roshni reacts with wide-eyed disbelief, putting on a performance of shock and heartbreak. The “uncle” keeps talking, layering his story with false details, while the family sits in stunned silence.
But Sachin isn’t buying it. Watching Roshni’s every move, he can’t shake the feeling that there’s more to this than she’s letting on—and that she’s weaving this elaborate lie for reasons only she knows.
