Soulmates On Starlife Tuesday 17th June 2025 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with Tejas recalling how he recently went to a restaurant in search of a job. In a flashback, the manager explains the responsibilities to him, mentioning that the shift lasts twelve hours. Tejas is clearly unsettled hearing this. The manager asks bluntly if he wants the job or not. Tejas, trying to be agreeable, says he’s fine with working as a waiter and asks about the salary. The manager tells him that they’ll decide on that after four days—if they’re satisfied with his performance. Sizing Tejas up, the manager says he looks too educated and they usually don’t hire educated people. When asked about his qualifications, Tejas lies and says he only studied till the 10th grade. The manager instructs him to start immediately. The flashback ends.

Back in the present, Sachin and Sayali ask Tejas about his new job. Roshni jumps in, questioning why they’re interrogating him. Sayali responds, which quickly leads to a heated exchange. Renu steps in and scolds Sayali, telling her not to speak like that. Meanwhile, Tejas keeps to himself, thinking he needs to be careful around Sachin. As the argument continues, Renu tells Sachin and Sayali to leave the room. Tejas avoids giving a direct answer about his work, vaguely saying it’s a “technical” job involving customer interaction. Roshni assumes it’s a customer relations role, and Tejas quietly agrees, though he looks disheartened. He offers Renu some sweets and then walks off.
Later, Roshni hugs Tejas, overjoyed that he has started working. She excitedly asks him about the company and his designation. Tejas downplays it, saying it’s not a big job, but he took it for her sake. She thanks him. He assures her that he’s not hiding anything from her and that he truly means well. He pleads with her not to ask more about the job, admitting it’s not ideal, but he’s doing it all for her. Roshni hugs him again, touched by his sacrifice.
Meanwhile, Sayali is at her shop attending to a female customer. The woman notices that Sayali isn’t wearing her mangalsutra and curiously asks about it. Sayali recalls Renu’s harsh words about the jewellery. Nearby, Paresh quietly watches the scene unfold. The woman probes further, asking if Renu took her jewellery. Sayali, keeping her dignity, covers up the truth. She says Renu is kind and treats her like a daughter. The woman isn’t convinced and asks what really happened to the jewellery. Sayali says she gave the mangalsutra for repair and left her bangles at home since she was working at the store. The woman advises her to take care of herself and leaves.
Just then, Renu arrives and orders Sayali to go home and make breakfast. The same lady who had questioned Sayali earlier watches Renu scolding her. Sayali turns to Paresh and offers to make him tea, but he tells her to finish her work first. He walks away. The woman returns and confronts Sayali, saying Renu is treating her badly despite what she had claimed earlier. Paresh overhears this. He confronts Renu, asking her why she yelled at Sayali in public. Renu snaps back, asking who else is supposed to handle the household chores. Paresh reminds her that there are two other daughters-in-law in the house and that she herself is capable of cooking. He tells her that Sayali is protecting the family’s respect, but Renu is constantly humiliating her.
Their argument grows more intense as Paresh explains how Sayali tries to defend Renu in front of outsiders. Sayali, silently listening nearby, hears every word. Paresh demands that Renu return Sayali’s jewellery. Renu defiantly replies that Sayali gave it willingly and now is pretending to be a victim to ruin her image. She goes on a rant, accusing Sayali of showing her down by putting up a stall under Renu’s name while her own daughters enjoy more glamorous careers—Roshni with her parlour and Riya working in television. But Paresh stays firm and tells her again to return the jewellery.
Sayali steps in and says she doesn’t want it back. She says she will wear only the jewellery her husband gifts her. Paresh reminds her that people outside noticed her lack of jewellery and she should be prepared for more questions. But Sayali says she doesn’t care about gossip or opinions. At that moment, Sachin walks in and hears the conversation. Sayali says that just because she’s from a poor background doesn’t mean she has no pride or dignity—that kind of respect isn’t reserved for the wealthy alone. Renu claims Sayali is taunting her. Sachin calmly replies that she’s saying everything to her face. Paresh again urges Sayali to wear her mangalsutra. Sayali firmly refuses, saying Sachin has promised to get her one himself, and for him, it’s a matter of pride. Renu tries to make fun of Sachin and belittle his efforts.
