Renu, Roshni, and Riya are busy in the kitchen, chopping vegetables and grinding spices. As they work, the maid compliments Roshni, impressed by how effortlessly she handles everything. Renu, surprised, says it looks like Roshni has been doing this daily. Roshni smiles and says that Malti just taught her, and she picked it up quickly. Renu then encourages Riya to try cutting onions, but as soon as Riya starts, she accidentally cuts her finger and cries out in pain. Aaji and Sayali come rushing in. Aaji asks what happened, and Riya says she’s hurt her finger. Sayali quickly checks it and assures her it’s a small cut and she’ll be fine. Roshni also downplays the injury, saying it’s nothing serious. But Riya insists on seeing a doctor.
Aaji calmly tells her that this is part of learning—no one masters life without getting a few cuts along the way. Riya still complains, asking to be taken to the hospital. But Aaji says the doctor visits in the evening and there’s no need to worry. She asks Malti to bring haldi, then firmly holds Riya’s hand as Malti applies the turmeric paste to her wound. Riya winces and again demands to see a doctor, but Aaji reassures her it’s going to heal with this traditional remedy. She tells her to go and rest for now, then instructs Renu and Roshni to continue the cooking. Sayali offers to help, but Aaji stops her and asks her to come along instead.
Meanwhile, Sachin and Sayali share a quiet conversation. Sachin speaks warmly about Sayali’s family, clearly admiring their values. Back in the kitchen, Roshni secretly tries to call Sultan while Renu lights the stove and begins teaching Riya more about cooking.
But Riya, seeing smoke rising from the stove, panics and says she’ll call the fire brigade. Renu quickly tells her it’s just the tempering process and completely normal. In another part of the house, Aaji tells Sayali not to feel bad for Renu and just observe what happens next.
Then chaos erupts again when Riya dumps an entire jar of mustard seeds into hot oil, causing it to splatter. Renu and Roshni look on, horrified. Renu scolds Riya gently, telling her to listen carefully before doing anything. Aaji watches from a distance and chuckles to herself. Riya, unsure what to do, is told by Renu to just go and eat a carrot instead. Roshni then offers to make dal chawal, and Renu agrees. Aaji, pleased with how things are unfolding, tells Sayali that this will teach Riya and Roshni that cooking isn’t just about sitting down to eat—it’s hard work, and they’ll understand that now.
Later, everyone gathers at the dining table. Riya beams with pride and compliments Akash, saying he knows how to cook well. When Sayali moves to serve food, Renu rudely stops her and accuses her of trying to take credit for their efforts. She throws a cruel taunt at Sayali’s family and tells her to step aside. Paresh is shocked and questions Renu’s behavior. Sachin also stands up for Sayali, sarcastically saying they should give national awards to Roshni and Riya for their one-day kitchen debut. Aaji joins in, agreeing that Sayali was wronged and announces that Sayali should eat first. But Sayali tries to back away, saying she’ll eat later. Sachin insists and prevents her from leaving.
Renu starts serving food but keeps showing attitude. Tejas compliments Roshni’s hard work, and Riya proudly claims credit for chopping all the vegetables. Akash playfully pulls out a half-cut brinjal and asks her if she was responsible for that too. Sachin praises the delicious aloo dish, saying it’s especially tasty. Riya claims the credit again, but Aaji reveals that Sayali actually cooked that dish. Sayali quickly adds that Aaji helped by adding the tempering. Sachin grins and says he could tell—it was clearly made by the best cook. Then, turning to Renu, Aaji asks why Sayali wasn’t served properly. Sachin takes the lead, grabbing some papad and offering it to Sayali himself, asking Renu for rice to complete her plate.
Paresh tells Renu to serve rice to Sayali. Renu complies but with an attitude. Then she tells Riya to start eating. Riya says her finger still hurts and asks if she can use a spoon. Akash tells her to try eating with her hand instead. Renu insists on feeding Riya herself, saying the spices might irritate the wound. Sachin cracks a joke, saying people do anything for gold. Aaji says that eating with her hand will help Riya heal faster. Renu defends her action, saying she’s just being considerate. Sachin sarcastically comments again, saying Riya’s mom brought in so much gold, it’s no wonder she’s getting this royal treatment. He sings “Sabse bada rupaiyya” to tease Renu further.
Renu fumes and asks Paresh to stop him, but Aaji tells Sachin to hold back. Then she tells Sayali to sit beside Riya. Sayali quietly takes her place. Aaji firmly declares that it’s unfair to show affection to just one daughter-in-law—everyone should be treated with love and respect. Sachin claps and says he agrees completely.
