Vihaan has no time to dwell on the slap—his mother’s life is in danger. With Harsh and Arjun by his side, he rushes to Veena’s rescue, pulling her to safety. Veena, still shaken, gathers her breath as Gauri, elsewhere, is left reeling at the reality that she is now married to Vihaan.The family crowds around Veena, relief softening their fear. She thanks her son for saving her—and, to everyone’s surprise, also thanks him for getting married. Curious about her new daughter-in-law, she assumes the bride is someone she saw earlier. But her words leave the family exchanging puzzled glances; no one knows of such a girl. It is Harsh who finally reveals the truth: Vihaan married Gauri, a taxi driver. Veena’s shock mirrors the silent judgment in the room, and Rashmi is quick to point out Gauri’s background, making the revelation sting even more.
Maa Ji, firm and unyielding, tells Vihaan to call Gauri and fulfill his responsibilities as her husband. Vihaan refuses, insisting they all forget what happened. Harsh warns that while the family might move on, Gauri will not. Far away, Gauri sleeps fitfully. A flock of birds gathers near her bed, as though drawn by some unseen force. Gauri, on the other hand, confides in her mother that she knows exactly what the vermilion signifies—but she cannot and will not see Vihaan as her husband. Her mother reminds her that the color in her hairline now bears Vihaan’s name, leaving Gauri trapped between her pride and the reality of her fate.
The episode closes on that tension—two unwilling hearts bound by a ritual neither is ready to accept.
