Neither they nor the couple know that Gauri and Vihaan each still possess a single shoe from their childhood, their hidden significance yet to be revealed. In another corner, Gauri notices Charu sketching on the wall without awareness and gently tells her to go to bed.

A witch slips into Gauri’s room, but vanishes the moment Gauri enters. Soon after, she learns the shocking truth—Gauri is Biswa, the sworn enemy of witches. At home, Maa Ji advises Veena to explain to Vihaan the value of respecting vermilion. Veena counters that Gauri has insulted it and questions why she isn’t at home. Maa Ji firmly reminds her that, like it or not, Gauri is Vihaan’s wife. She also confronts Veena about the witch who disguised herself as Vihaan to trick Gauri. Unable to deny it, Veena breaks down. She admits she arranged everything—only to protect Vihaan and push him into marriage. She begs Maa Ji not to tell him the truth. Maa Ji agrees, but warns that Veena must accept Gauri and make amends. Suddenly, Veena clutches her head in pain as the nakshatra begins to glow on her body. Alarmed, Maa Ji calls for Vihaan, Harsh, and Arjun. Harsh urges Vihaan to act quickly to stop the glow, and Maa Ji declares that the only way is for Vihaan to marry Gauri properly.
Vihaan comforts Veena, asking her to stay calm, but she pleads with him to remain at home instead of bringing Gauri back. Harsh reminds Vihaan that Gauri’s consent matters. Vihaan promises Maa Ji he will bring her home. Harsh and Arjun suggest he apologize and propose to Gauri formally, but Vihaan insists he will handle it his own way.
Meanwhile, Gauri packs Charu’s bag for her first day, only for Charu to confront her—wondering why she is acting as if nothing has changed when she knows she’s married to Vihaan. Later, Gauri books a cab for a passenger, then realizes the drop-off location belongs to Vihaan. When he gets in, she orders him out, but he threatens to report her, risking her job. Reluctantly, she starts the ride.
Vihaan tries to talk, but Gauri shuts him out. He notices the vermilion still in her hairline and slips off his bracelet to switch off the music. As she drives, he warns her to be careful, but she coldly tells him to get out. Their argument heats up—Vihaan insists they are married, while Gauri calls the marriage meaningless. He explains he had no choice at the time, but she remains unmoved. Finally, Vihaan proposes that she stay with him—offering payment in return.
