Reluctantly amused, Mauli walks toward the pool. Suddenly, someone grabs her hand from behind. She turns and smiles as Kunal wraps his arms around her, planting a kiss on her shoulder. She warns him to be careful—someone might see them—but Kunal insists they only have this moment and should make the most of it. Just as they lean in for a kiss, Mauli pulls away, laughing, saying she has to go—she loves her husband, after all. She darts off, and Kunal chases her across the bridge, catching her hand and spinning her toward him. He hugs her again, but when she tells him to let go, he instantly does. Then, to his surprise, Mauli sneaks back to hug him from behind and kisses his cheek. As she turns to return to the party, Kunal playfully corrects her—she should be going into his arms. She offers to drop him home, but he grins, saying she’s all he needs. Lifting her into his arms, he carries her toward his place, declaring she’s enough for him anywhere.
Once inside, Kunal carries Mauli into his room. She warns this has to be the last time; she can’t keep cheating her husband. They both laugh, falling playfully onto the bed. But just then, her phone rings—it’s an emergency call from the hospital. She apologizes, explaining that the case is serious because the patient is diabetic. Kunal wishes her luck and kisses her forehead before she rushes off. While she’s gone, Kunal decorates the room with rose petals and candles. Hours later, Mauli returns to find him asleep. Smiling softly, she removes his shoes and tucks him in. A note on the bedside table reads, “The most beautiful lady in my life.” She feels a pang of guilt for ruining his plans and silently promises to make it up to him.
The next morning, freshly bathed, Mauli stands in the temple, praying. Dida calls out for tea, grumbling. Mauli checks her blood pressure before Dida presents her with an anniversary gift—a phone cover printed with her and Kunal’s photo. Soon, Mauli’s uncle calls to wish her a happy anniversary.
When she enters the bedroom, Kunal steps out of the bathroom, clearly in a sulky mood. She invites him to lie beside her, but instead he shakes his wet hair in her face. Amused, she teases him about his glowing skin. He admits it’s from a good night’s sleep. Hugging him from behind, Mauli asks if he’s still angry. He says he just wanted one romantic night. She suggests celebrating now, but he sarcastically asks why not invite everyone else too. Mauli laughs that Dida might even give them tips. Kunal smirks, asking if she’s being naughty. She leans in and whispers she’s much more than naughty—but then pretends to leave.
Kunal pulls her back onto the bed, asking what she’s thinking. She replies she was about to get blessings from Dida and her mother. Kunal admits he thought she was going to make it up to him with a kiss. Mauli says she wants her gift first. Kunal claims he didn’t have time to get one, but she notices a bandage on his hand. Removing it, she’s touched to see her name tattooed there in place of a wedding ring. He explains that rings can be stolen, but now her name is forever. Overcome with emotion, Mauli hugs him tightly.
Later in the kitchen, as Mauli cooks, Kunal jokes that they should celebrate their anniversary every day. She laughs, warning he might lose his figure. He goes to take out the kheer she made for a friend’s birthday and casually asks the friend’s name. At once, Mauli drops the sugar jar, her mood darkening. When he asks why she gets upset at the mention, she tearfully says the past is gone, and talking about it won’t change anything. Kunal hugs her comfortingly. Soon after, Kunal brings halwa to Dida. Mauli warns from behind not to give her sweets, but Kunal sneaks her a bite anyway. Dida chuckles and suggests he try to learn the mystery friend’s name through conversation. Back in the bedroom, Mauli is getting ready when Kunal joins her. They talk about Anamika—her friend whose name they usually avoid. Mauli describes her as a traditional beauty in sarees, jhumkas, and bindis. Joking, she says if he’d met Anamika first, he might have married her instead. Kunal laughs that he’d have left her and married Mauli later anyway.
They head to their anniversary venue, unaware that in another hall, a wealthy businessman is throwing a birthday party for his wife, Nandini. Throughout the event, he humiliates her with subtle physical harassment. At their own table, Mauli and Kunal toast their marriage. Across the room, Nandini quietly tells another woman she recently moved to Mumbai, has no friends here, and doubts she’ll make any—real friends are made in childhood. Mauli, in turn, tells Kunal her own friend would never leave Lucknow to come here. Kunal praises Mauli, saying she’s the best wife, doctor, and woman any man could dream of. Meanwhile, Nandini’s husband forces her to dine with his investors, ordering her to use a fork and knife instead of a spoon. When the knife slips from her hand, he leans under the table—not to help, but to harass her again. Kunal notices the scene from afar.
Soon, Nandini’s birthday cake is served. Mauli wants to wish her, but before they reach her table, Nandini and her husband have already left. Outside, an investor named Mr. Gupta wishes Nandini and tries to hug her inappropriately. She pulls away, accidentally knocking over a vase. Furious, her husband slaps her in front of everyone before storming off. Nandini runs after him, but in the parking lot she stumbles directly in front of Kunal’s car. He gets out to help her, but she walks away quickly, leaving only her bracelet on the ground.
