Nandini walks past Mauli, stopping to ask a street vendor how to get to Amboli. He tells her to catch a bus. Meanwhile, Kunal arrives where Mauli has been waiting for him. He explains that a girl suddenly appeared in front of his car, which delayed him. Mauli teases him, asking if the girl’s feet were turned backward like in ghost stories, and wonders if he’s imagining someone. Kunal ignores the joke and shows her a bracelet he found lying on the road. Mauli instantly recognizes it—it’s Nandini’s, the same bracelet she gifted years ago, making Nandini promise she’d always wear it. Shocked, Mauli rushes toward the bus stop.

There’s a wedding celebration blocking the street, with people lighting fireworks. Mauli shouts Nandini’s name. Nandini hears her, turns around with a bright smile, but before they can meet, Raaj’s car stops between them. He forces Nandini inside and drives away. Kunal reaches Mauli, noticing her shaken expression, and gently leads her away. In the car, Raaj angrily asks why Nandini was at the bus stop. She explains that no taxi was available and she thought of taking a bus. His face twists with rage as he insults her and raises his hand, making her flinch. He warns her about ruining his upcoming conference in Goa, reminding her of the last time she displeased him.
Later, Mauli stands silently in the kitchen, lost in thought. Kunal asks how sure she is that the bracelet belongs to her friend. He points out that she gave it to her six years ago and that plenty of similar bracelets exist. Mauli argues that it’s too much of a coincidence—they saw a birthday celebration at the same hotel they visited, then found this bracelet. She has a strong feeling her friend is in trouble. Kunal suggests calling Nandini, but Mauli hesitates and decides maybe he’s right. Kunal hands her a cup of green tea, asking how it tastes. She says it’s perfect without even sipping it. He laughs and pours milk into the cup, showing her how to ruin it. They share a playful laugh.
At the clinic, Kunal entertains a child patient, telling him he’s beaten all the bad germs and can go back to school. The boy’s mother says Kunal would make a wonderful father. Then, another doctor hands him new test results. Kunal frowns—he never ordered them. The receptionist explains that these tests are standard procedure. Furious, Kunal demands they refund patients or accept his resignation. He refuses to work in a place that exploits people.
Kunal goes to Mauli’s office, announcing he has quit. Mauli listens, then tells him she’s proud of him for standing by his principles. He relaxes, and they share a hug before she heads off to work. Alone, he wonders aloud what his life would be without her. Mauli jokes that he’d be eating far too much sugar. Outside her office, she pauses, taking a deep breath to release her tension before moving on.
Meanwhile, Nandini packs her husband’s suitcase when she notices her bracelet is missing. She searches frantically—it’s her last connection to Mauli. Raaj walks in, mocking her, asking if she’s searching for her self-respect. She tells him she lost her bracelet and pleads to go to the hotel to find it. At first, he pretends to agree, making her happy, but then he laughs cruelly, saying he won’t go and risk being mocked. He orders her to keep packing.
Later, Mauli struggles to untangle the bracelet from Kunal’s sleeve while they’re in the car. In another vehicle nearby, Nandini sits beside Raaj, watching Mauli and Kunal together—laughing, happy—while her own eyes fill with longing.
At a friend’s party, Kunal talks enthusiastically about opening his own clinic this year. Their friend Nilesh arrives alone, saying his wife Neha isn’t well. Mauli goes to the kitchen with the host, then gets a call from Neha asking her to pass a message to Nilesh. When Kunal relays it, Nilesh dismisses it. Sensing something, Kunal presses him until Nilesh admits he’s seeing someone else. He claims Neha’s constant focus on work and the children has left no time for him.
Mauli joins them and hears the same complaint. She defends Neha, pointing out that their comfortable lifestyle exists because of her dedication at work and at home. Nilesh scoffs, accusing Mauli of defending herself too since she’s also always busy. He warns Kunal that one day he’ll feel the same loneliness. He even brings up how Kunal spent their anniversary alone because Mauli was away. Tension spikes until Kunal grabs his collar, but Nilesh throws out one last bitter remark before storming out.
Embarrassed, Kunal and Mauli apologize to their hosts and leave. In the car, Mauli’s mind is troubled. She turns to Kunal and asks quietly if he ever feels upset about how busy she is.
