Nandini claps happily as she watches Mauli, feeling a rush of joy. Inspired, she decides to bake a cake for her friend—someone she hasn’t seen in years. Just then, Raaj notices her standing near the hall and quietly observes. As soon as Nandini spots him, she quickly steps away, disappearing from view. Raaj thinks to himself that she probably won’t have the courage to come downstairs without his permission. In the kitchen, Nandini asks the chef for help in preparing the cake. She eagerly mixes the batter, tasting it with a smile. Meanwhile, Mauli arrives to congratulate Kunal after receiving an award, but her moment is interrupted by a call—an emergency case at the hospital demands her attention. She and Kunal quickly leave. Later, Raaj enters the hall and asks about Mauli’s whereabouts. A doctor tells him she has already left.

Upstairs, Kunal prepares to leave with Mauli, but she urges him to stay and try to find investors at the conference. Kunal complains that everyone is just interested in business deals, while he dreams of opening an affordable children’s clinic. Mauli encourages him to at least try. Reluctantly, Kunal agrees to stay one more day. He arranges for a taxi and orders sandwiches for Mauli. When she thanks him, he brusquely replies that she’s unwelcome. Back in the kitchen, Nandini hears staff rushing to prepare orders for the guests in room 405. She hurries upstairs with the cake, but by the time she reaches the corridor, Mauli and Kunal have already passed by and entered another room. Feeling disappointed, Nandini finds Mauli standing alone in the hall, distracted by her phone. Memories flood Nandini’s mind—how years ago she chose Rajdeep over Mauli, pushing her away. She wonders if she made the wrong choice. Looking up, Nandini sees Mauli walking outside the hotel.
Suddenly, the fire alarm blares throughout the building, and sprinklers soak the guests and staff. In the chaos, the cake slips from Nandini’s hands and crashes to the floor. She retreats, tears streaming, and hides in a corner. A crowd gathers, murmuring anxiously. Raaj, who was walking away, stops as Nandini suddenly wraps her arms around him from behind. In front of everyone, Raaj gently strokes her hair, offering comfort.
Kunal arrives in the hall, but one man angrily complains about the disruption to the conference. Kunal calmly reassures him that at least the fire alarm worked and the hotel’s safety systems are effective. Kunal offers Nandini a glass of water and insists she drink it. Before she can take a sip, he suddenly grabs her neck, harassing her and demanding why she made a cake for him and wandered around decorating it with candles. He turns on a nearby fan, warning her not to move or cover herself, then spills a bottle of water over her.
Raaj approaches Kunal, thinking he might be useful. Kunal mentions the earlier accident, and Raaj apologizes if it caused any trouble. Kunal shrugs it off, saying mistakes happen. After introductions, Raaj offers Kunal a 10% commission for sending patients to his pathology lab. Kunal, uncomfortable, declines politely. He moves aside to speak privately with Mauli. Mauli arrives at the hospital to find a patient in her third month of pregnancy suffering from dengue. The woman’s name is Nandini. Mauli promises to do everything she can to save her, feeling it’s her duty.
Meanwhile, Nandini shivers with cold, searching for a blanket. She moves close to a lamp, trying to get warm. Raaj appears behind her and roughly forces her out of the room. In the struggle, her head hits a wall hanging, causing it to bleed. She knocks on the door, pleading with Raaj for forgiveness. Kunal watches quietly from the corridor, unable to see her face clearly.
Raaj finally opens the door again, pushing Nandini out once more. She runs downstairs, tears in her eyes, with Kunal following her outside the hotel. Outside, Mauli tries calling Kunal’s number as a thunderstorm begins to rage. Nandini walks through the heavy rain outside the hotel, her clothes soaked. Kunal chases after her, struggling to keep up on the slippery roads. Meanwhile, Mauli struggles to close the window panes of their room at home. A photo of Mauli and Nandini slips from an old bookshelf and falls to the floor.
Suddenly, Nandini collapses in the middle of the street. A truck nearly hits her, but Kunal leaps forward and pushes her out of harm’s way. They both tumble to the side of the road. Inside, Mauli, hearing the crash, rushes over and sees the broken glass from the fallen photo frame.

Kunal tells Nandini that hiding a crime is worse than committing it, and that marriage should be a relationship of equals. Nandini thinks about this deeply as Raaj approaches and asks who she’s thinking about. Later, Kunal calls Mauli urgently, asking her to come to the shopping mall immediately. Mauli apologizes, saying she can’t come right away. Kunal gets annoyed and ends the call. Mauli tries to call back but Kunal doesn’t answer. In separate balconies, Nandini and Kunal stand apart, lost in their own thoughts.
